Isoflurane 250ml – Professional Veterinary Inhalation Anesthetic
Isoflurane is a clear, colorless, stable liquid inhalation anesthetic widely trusted by veterinarians for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia in dogs and horses. Each milliliter contains 99.9% isoflurane with no additives or chemical stabilizers. It is nonflammable and nonexplosive, making it a safe choice when used with a precision vaporizer calibrated specifically for isoflurane.
Key Features
- Rapid induction and recovery – Low blood/gas partition coefficient allows quick changes in anesthetic depth and smooth emergence.
- Minimal metabolism – Less than 0.2% is metabolized, reducing the burden on the liver and kidneys.
- Excellent muscle relaxation – Provides good surgical conditions with dose-dependent effects.
- Stable formulation – Contains no preservatives or stabilizers; remains chemically unchanged under normal storage.
- 250 ml amber glass bottle – Protects the volatile liquid from light and ensures product integrity.
Indications
Isoflurane is indicated for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia in:
It is commonly used in both elective and emergency surgical procedures requiring reliable, controllable anesthesia.
Important Safety Information
Isoflurane is a profound respiratory depressant. Respiration must be monitored closely and supported when necessary. Hypotension, respiratory depression and arrhythmias have been reported. Operating rooms must be adequately ventilated to prevent accumulation of anesthetic vapors. Do not pass isoflurane through desiccated soda lime or barium hydroxide lime to avoid carbon monoxide production.
Contraindicated in animals with known hypersensitivity to isoflurane or other halogenated agents, and in cases of known susceptibility to malignant hyperthermia.

Usage Notes
Use only with a precision vaporizer calibrated for isoflurane. Induction concentrations are typically higher (up to 5% in dogs, 3–5% in horses) and are reduced for maintenance (generally 1.5–2.5%). Always titrate to the individual patient’s response and provide appropriate supportive care, including monitoring of respiration, heart rate and blood pressure.
Storage
Store at controlled room temperature 20–25 °C (68–77 °F). Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light. Highly volatile – handle with care.
Prescription only. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. Not for use in horses intended for human consumption.
