Zylexis – Advanced Non-Specific Immunomodulator for Companion and Farm Animals

Zylexis is a premium veterinary immunomodulator containing inactivated Parapoxvirus ovis (strain D1701). It acts as a powerful super-antigen that rapidly stimulates the innate immune system without causing disease. Trusted by veterinarians worldwide and manufactured by Zoetis, Zylexis provides fast-acting support for the prevention and treatment of infectious and stress-induced diseases in dogs, cats, horses, cattle and pigs.

Indications

Zylexis is indicated as an aid in the prevention and treatment of infectious and/or stress-induced diseases by stimulating non-specific immune mechanisms in:

  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Horses
  • Cattle
  • Pigs

Particularly useful during periods of high infection pressure, stress (transport, competition, crowding, weaning) or as concurrent therapy to accelerate recovery.

Composition (per 1 ml reconstituted product)

  • Inactivated Parapoxvirus ovis, strain D1701 – ≥1 RP (relative potency) or min. 230 IFN units
  • Stabilizer L2
  • Water for injections

Dosage & Administration

Species Dose Route
Dogs & Cats 1 ml Subcutaneous (SC)
Horses, Cattle & Pigs 2 ml Intramuscular (IM)

Recommended schedule (3 doses):

  • When infection/stress expected within 7 days: Day 0, Day 2, Day 4
  • When infection/stress expected within 14 days: Day 0, Day 2, Day 9
  • For prophylaxis: first dose preferably 1–3 days before the stressful event

Reconstitute the lyophilisate aseptically with the provided diluent immediately before use. Shake gently until fully dissolved. Use sterile syringes and needles. Once reconstituted, use within 8 hours if stored at 2–8°C.

Storage

Store in a refrigerator at 2–8°C. Do not freeze. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
